An Army at Dawn: The War in North Africa, 1942-1943 (The Liberation Trilogy)
Brilliant and Exceptional - On A Par With Correli Barnett As A Readable Informative Historian.
This is a brilliant book, and even now, after 65 years of reading about the Second Worlds War, I am learning history that I didn't know before.

only 7 hours and read by Rick Atkinson himself who seems to be a great author but speaks in a very laid back monotone ...
This is only for the "abridged" audible version which seems to be short, only 7 hours and read by Rick Atkinson himself who seems to be a great author but speaks in a very laid back monotone voice.

Boring
I kept waiting for the letters from the soldiers to be read, but by the second disc there still wasn't any evidence of these.

The Best Ever Account of WWII in France, Holland, Belgium and Germany
As with the author's previous works about other campaigns the author has penetrated the idolization of even the heroes of both the Allies and the Axis powers.
