If your motherboard has the header for a parallel port, this is much cheaper than buying a parallel port pci card, and works just as well.

Hooked the cable up to my MSI motherboard and HP Laserjet 2100 printer and everything works great.

The only problem that I ran into was that the cable and motherboard didn't have any orientation marking so I plugged it in backwards, didn't work, reversed the connection, worked great!.
