Tasting Notes: Sweet, delicate menthol, apple mint, spring woodlands, juniper, coriander with aniseed undertones, lemon and orange peel, a bouquet of flowers from Machir Bay, honey from thistle, coconut from gorse, water mint and summer meadows
Serving suggestions: Enjoy this dry gin in its experimental nature. The Botanist gin encourages drinkers to explore flavors and #BeTheBotanist with seasonal and foraged garnishes for cocktails
Opening with barley sugar and a hint of mint before leading into the most wonderful notes of freshly cut wild flowers buttercup, daisy, meadowsweet, myrtle, primrose and cherry blossom
DISTILLERY - Since Bruichladdich’s resurrection in 2001, our ambitions have gone beyond the simple idea of making and selling single malt scotch whisky. Our goal was to be an antidote to the industry norm.
TASTING NOTES - Candied orange and lemon, beautifully floral. A touch of marine spice and citrus on the nose. The palate is deliciously creamy with the barley notes very much to the fore. The finish is long and heated.
Located within 15 miles of the distillery, each of our eight local farming partners undertook the risk of growing in challenging conditions to deliver the barley used for this 2014 vintage.
