4. VL53L0X is a great IC, but its small, lead-free LGA package makes it difficult for the typical student or to use it. It is also powered by a recommended voltage of 2.8V, which can complicate interface for microcontrollers with 3.3V or 5V. Our breakout board fixes these problems, facilitates getting started using the sensor and keeping the overall size as small as possible.
